Gradations

A Thirdspace Thirdweeks gathering
Inherited gesture.
Contemporary line.
Form moving through time.
For this morning session, we gather with UESATSU, a graphic designer working between past and future monozukuri.
In Gradations, we explore how tradition is not simply preserved, but evolved. UESATSU’s practice reveals how form shifts over time, shaped by tension, perception, and material sensitivity.
Together, we consider how design becomes a quiet negotiation between memory and emergence.
